First Steps!!!

Big happenings here tonight, Grace took her first unassisted steps!!! She has been toddling around using the edges of furniture for a while now but tonight was the first time she did it by herself. As soon as she did it Jen ran to get the video camera hoping she would do it again and she didn't disappoint. It is so exciting and kind of sad all at the same time to watch our sweet little baby grow into a beautiful toddler. We are so proud her. Experience her first steps for yourself below...

Don't you just love it when they are laughing at their own accomplishments? What a sweet little puddin'!

There will be many more bittersweet milestones to come. Each one will have that twinge of both pride, happiness, and sadness over another step toward becoming a young adult.

I made a decision a long time ago to rejoice in each one. My husband still wants to have the baby back... I think that's just the way daddys' are with their little girls.

Sweet angel Grace walking to her mommy all by herself and making sure daddy is watching too! Best thing I've ever seen in my life!

So sweet. Abe's first steps were surprisingly very emotional for me. I, all at once, wanted to cry *and* yell as loud as I could, "Hey! YOU! Look what my son can do!"
